Having an open third eye chakra is part of going through your spiritual growth and your enlightenment. The third eye is the energy center that allows you to reach your higher self and helps you to be able to see and be part of the spiritual world.

Opening up the third eye is not about being clairvoyant, it goes beyond that to a place where you are able to see your higher self and to get the guidance that you need from the spiritual world. In order to really open up your third eye, meditation can help you.

Third Eye Meditation Techniques

Meditating to open up the third eye can empower you and can help you to see into the spiritual world. Do this for as long as you can and make sure that you do it for at least a week before you would ever stop.

As you do this, you can activate your third eye and you can learn to be more aware of what is going on around you.

Doing Third Eye Meditation

Here is how you can do third eye meditation:

  • Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed.
  • Sit up straight.
  • Relax.
  • Close your eyes.
  • Be aware of your heart center and be aware of any sensations that you are feeling.
  • Ask your angel guide to come to you and to bring divine light and healing to you in any place that you need it.
  • Imagine a golden light surrounding you.
  • Let go of anything that is making you feel negative or holding you back.
  • Focus on your awareness of your heart chakra being open and the light around you. Notice any tingling or pressure you feel.
  • Look deep into yourself.
  • Open your heart and relax.
  • Let the light fill your heart center and bring about a new kind of energy that makes you feel lighter and makes you feel positive.
  • Imagine the light filling your whole body and entering into your mind and notice if you feel tingling in your forehead.
  • If there is pressure between your eyebrows, notice it and tune into the sensation.
  • Ask your guides to clear any blockages that you have and allow your third eye to open.
  • Remember: Some people feel pain during this, but others don’t feel any physical sensations.
  • Don’t try and force your third eye to open but just relax and embrace whatever comes to you.
  • Hold on to the experiences that you are feeling and focus on your third eye. Be aware of what you are hearing in your heart and your mind.
  • Let go of anything holding you back as you deep breathe in and out. Open your third eye center and let your energy move deep. Stay open to this energy as it goes deeper and deeper. Center your attention to what color you feel going in and out of you, golden light or some other color?
  • Whatever you are feeling now, let it come and even if you don’t understand it, embrace it, and allow it to be there.
  • Release any attachments that you have and allow your third eye to fill you without trying to force it or focus on it, whatever energy is coming, be aware of it and allow it to flow.
  • Let the energy unlock anything inside of you that is keeping you confused. Open your psychic vision and see whatever you can see.
  • Don’t judge yourself and as you stay calm and you keep activating your higher awareness, let anything else go.
  • If you see a purple light, this can be the light that your spirit guides are bringing you to honor and to support you.
  • After you are there as long as you want to be, let your body start opening up. Be aware of all parts of your body from your head to your toes.
  • Listen to the sounds around you and note what you feel and what energies are filling you. Open your eyes and allow your third eye to center.

You can keep doing this and repeating this each day until you feel more open to the world around you. Allow the spirit world to fill you and embrace whatever gifts that you have. Meditation can help you to be fully open to the world around you and as you continue to grow, thank your guides for helping you to be the best that you can be.
