Past Life Regression Psychic Readings

Past Life Regression Psychic Readings

There’s a certain level of “hippie” that people are willing to embrace. Carrying crystals? That’s normal now. Talking about energy healing or how the universe aligns things? That’s where some people start to back away. Then there’s the deeper side with the chakras, shamanic rituals, and cacao ceremonies, which tend to be the breaking point for most.

But not for me. I have no limits when it comes to exploring wellness, and one thing I’ve always wanted to try is past life regression. I’ve always believed that looking into past lives might help explain emotions I can’t quite understand in this one.

Meeting Fiongal Greenlaw

It felt like fate when I met Fiongal Greenlaw, the founder of The Wellness Foundry, during a tarot class he was teaching. As it turns out, he’s also a past life regression practitioner, among other things. A few weeks later, I found myself sitting in a chair, about to push my boundaries even further.

When I asked him about the process, he explained, “Past life regression is a gentle healing technique that guides you into a hypnotic state, allowing you to access past life memories. I never try to convince anyone of their past lives because this is more about exploring the power of the subconscious mind.” That took some of the fear out of it for me.

What to Expect

I wasn’t sure what to expect. What if I saw something unsettling? What if I was some terrible person in a past life? But hearing Fiongal explain that past life beliefs exist in many Eastern traditions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, and Jainism made it feel more grounded.

He also described different types of past life memories such as personal reincarnation, inherited memory passed through ancestors (especially through the maternal line), collective thought forms that come from shared human experiences, parallel lives from alternate realities, and subconscious imagination that surfaces during regression.

Finding Answers

For me, past life regression was about finding answers. There are certain things I can’t explain—such as an obsessive pull toward specific historical eras, an underlying feeling of abandonment that therapy never quite resolved, and this strange sense of déjà vu in certain places. Some people believe that when we feel an intense familiarity with a place, it’s because we’ve been there in another life. That idea stuck with me.

Having Doubts

At the same time, I had my doubts. How do we know what we’re seeing is real? What if I just visualize something from a movie I saw last week? Fiongal reassured me: “It doesn’t matter where the memories come from—whether they’re real past life experiences or simply your subconscious. The content itself holds meaning.” That made sense.

He explained that one person might see themselves as a farmer with six children, while another might visualize being a wealthy woman in a grand estate. Either way, there’s something to learn from those experiences.

Getting a Past Life Regression Reading

The session itself was unlike anything I’ve ever done. Sitting in a cozy room, Fiongal asked for some basic details like the names of my closest friends and family members before guiding me through a deep visualization. He explained that relaxation helps quiet the rational, analytical part of the brain, allowing intuition and memory to take the lead. After about twenty minutes, I felt myself sinking into a peaceful, almost dreamlike state.

Having Visions

Then came the visions. He asked me to look through an imagined mirror, and the first thing I saw was an old man sitting on a pebble beach, looking completely uninterested in the world around him. It felt like a British seaside town, something like Margate. It was oddly empty, and the man didn’t seem particularly warm. I had no idea why I was seeing this—it felt random.

Small Child

Then, I looked down at myself. I was small, maybe four years old, with a retro-style haircut and shiny black shoes. And the weirdest part? I was white. That caught me off guard. It felt so strange that I fixated on it for a while. Fiongal later told me that people often experience being a different race in past lives, and it’s a common reaction to find it surprising.

New Relationships

As we explored further, I started to get a sense of my relationship with that man on the beach. He was a caretaker, not a relative, and I felt no real emotional connection to him. The home we lived in was small and bare, nothing like the warm, lively place I associated with family. I got the overwhelming sense that I had been an evacuated child, sent away from my real home during wartime.

Getting a Clear Picture

As I moved through more of this past life, things became even clearer. I saw myself at about six years old, still in that house, still alone. There were no more memories beyond that. It felt like the story had just stopped. I had the strong feeling that I had passed away at that age, probably from an illness and probably alone. That realization hit hard. It didn’t feel like a tragic movie scene; it just felt like an undeniable truth. My soul had never really moved past that little bedroom.

Coming Back to the Present

Fiongal gently guided me back to the present, and as I opened my eyes, I felt completely drained. There was a lingering sadness, not in an overwhelming way, but more like a quiet grief for that little version of me. Over the next few days, things started to click. I’ve always been obsessed with 1920s–1950s history, particularly British wartime. My home is decorated with mid-century pieces, I dress almost exclusively in vintage, and I consume media from that era non-stop. Could it be a coincidence? Maybe. But it does make me wonder.

And then there are the smaller things. My current bed sheets are the exact same dark salmon shade as the ones in that past life. The shoes I saw myself wearing as a child? They’re almost identical to a pair I’ve been eyeing for months. And that ever-present fear of abandonment? Well, I’m trying not to overanalyze it, but the connection is there.

Should You Get a Past Life Regression Reading?

Would I recommend past-life regression? Absolutely. If nothing else, it offers insight into emotions and patterns that might not make sense otherwise. Of course, it’s not for everyone, and as Fiongal explained, “Any good practitioner will provide a safe space for exploration. Some past lives bring up unresolved sadness or emotions, but they can also offer clarity.” I can see how that’s true.

Fiongal even shared a fascinating story about a couple he worked with. Each of them did a past life regression separately and ended up recalling a shared past life together. They had unknowingly pulled through memories of being a couple at another time. That kind of connection is incredible.

Final Thoughts

For me, this session didn’t give me all the answers I was looking for, but it did help some things fall into place. Whether past life regression is an actual window into our former lives or just a way to tap into the subconscious, I’d absolutely try it again. Some things in life just have a way of making sense, even when we don’t fully understand how.

  6. ‘Past life regression’ sounds like something out of a cheesy movie plot! 🎬 However, who wouldn’t want to know if they were someone fabulous in their previous lives? Count me intrigued!

  7. ‘Oh yes, let me just sit back and visualize my previous life as a potato farmer.’ 😂 Seriously though, while I appreciate the effort here, it’s hard not to chuckle at how far some will go for self-exploration.

  8. This article touches on an intriguing topic about the subconscious mind and its influences on our lives. Past life regression can be a valuable tool for self-discovery, but it’s essential to approach it with an open yet critical mindset.
